SUPER SPRINGTIME FAVOURS

Are you planning a springtime soirée? We don’t blame you; spring is a magical time of the year to say ‘I do’. The gardens and hedgerows come alive with a burst of colour and a feeling of new beginnings hangs high in the air. How perfect for a wedding! If you’re planning on giving your guests some favours, here are a few springtime themed ideas to go hand in hand with your springtime wedding.

Seeds – What better way to evoke the magic of spring than some seeds? Choose herbs, flowers or plants that play a part in your day for sentimental value. For example, if you’re serving mojitos, you could give mint seeds, or maybe you’re having some rhubarb crumble for pudding? You get the idea!

Soap – Soap makes a great wedding favour as small bars aren’t too expensive, they smell delicious and have a very practical purpose. Opt for an on-theme spring scent, such as magnolia or cherry blossom.

Honey – Buzzing bees are a springtime staple, so why not give your guests a mini bottle of honey each? Alternatively you could use honey to create something else. You could make your guests a pot of homemade honey granola, honey-glazed nuts or even make some honey lip balm. Check out Pinterest for more honey-themed ideas.

Flowering tea – The thought of spring conjures visions of glorious blossom trees in their full glory. You could use this in your favours by giving each guest some flowering tea, which is delicious tea made from dried tea leaves and flowers. Alternatively, try cherry blossom tea; it tastes as good as it sounds.

Garden ticket – If you’ve got a chunky budget for favours, why not treat your guests to a ticket to something special? For example, Lanhydrock Garden bursts to life each spring with a wonderful show of magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias.

Candle – Like soap, a candle makes a wonderfully smelling and ultimately practical favour. Have yours melted into an eclectic range of teacups for a springtime garden party feel. If that’s not your cup of tea (quite literally!), go subtle with a springtime scent instead.

Mini eggs – Put some sweet pastel-coloured mini eggs into a mini mason jar for a favour that’s almost too cute to handle. This will work perfectly if your wedding is around Easter time.

Lindt bunnies – Another Easter sweetie classic that benefits from looking as good as it tastes. Nobody is going to complain about receiving one of these!

Cookies – Everyone loves a cookie – make yours springtime appropriate by cutting them out into cute bunny or egg shapes and decorating them with icing.
