As we spring into Spring weddings at Lower Barns you can feel the excitement of nature all around us. Trees budding, blossom exploding with fragrance, feeling the warmth on your face and lighter evenings are upon us. I think I even spied my first swallow coming home to enjoy sunshine days ahead. Mike has had a hard winter building and creating our new garden area around the Wed Shed. With the walk of love, new pots and palms and water feature surrounding the Arbour.
Our first exclusive wedding last weekend couldn’t have flown better if I had staged it. Richard and Amy have been staying B&B with us for years and Richard had always said, “If i ever get married I would love to get married here at www.lowerbarnswedding.co.uk, we just love the chilled relaxed atmosphere and vibe this place gives off. Amy and I just want an intimate wedding with our nearest and dearest by our side when we say we do.”
Well 4 years into doing weddings their dreams came true and on the 7th April their big day was here. With a cloudy but warm Friday their family rocked up to pasties, cake and the odd glass of bubbles! The guys where bowled over at what we had done since they last visited us.
April showers in the morning but by 1pm the sunshine hit and engulfed us with a riot of colours with flowers arriving by the very lovely www.loulabelfloraldesign.com, hair styled by Jenny from http://www.cornwallhairstylist.com/ and a very tasty cake from London based http://www.crumbsanddoilies.co.uk/.
With guests mingling by the Wed Shed and Richard poised to see his bride, Amy swept us away with ther all-eyes-on-her wedding gown. The romance in the coastal air as her gown of whimsical lace, silks and pearlescent beads cut a warm silhouette as she walked towards Richards teary eyes.
Canapés, Champagne flowing with confetti and laughter surrounding them and with the very talented http://www.benselwayphotography.co.uk snapping away. Richard and Amy chose Cornwall so they could take a trip to the beach for some coastal shots to remember their wedding day.
Cooking up a storm https://www.angelsinthekitchen.co.uk of lamb shanks and fish of the day. To finished of with sticky toffee and spring pavlova. Feeling fed and watered my guests wondered back to the Party Shed. with the sun setting and alfresco vibe we have had a wonderful start to our exclusive weddings with Richad, Amy and family.
