PLANNING A SIGNATURE WEDDING COCKTAIL

PLANNING A SIGNATURE WEDDING COCKTAIL

Keen to serve a signature cocktail at your wedding? We don’t blame you – it’s an easy way to inject a bit of personality and fun into your big day. Here are our top tips for creating a summery signature cocktail your guests will remember forever.

Dream big

It can be tempting to stick with what you know, but if you want to create something really special sometimes it pays to be a little bit different. Whittle down your favourite spirits and then think about some of the creative ways you could incorporate them into a memorable cocktail.

For example, perhaps your love of gin could be combined with his penchant for earl grey to make a delicious earl grey spiked martini.

Keep them happy

While it pays to be different, you also want to make sure the end result is something your guests will actually enjoying sipping. You’ll also want to think about when you should serve it – it could be a welcome drink or an after-dinner cocktail.

Be on budget

While having multiple cocktail options could be fun, it will certainly cost more and it will also take away from the whole idea of having a signature drink. If you’re sticking to a tight budget, a Prosecco-based cocktail is a delicious way to keep costs down. You should also stick to a smaller glass size and keep expensive garnishes and flourishes to a minimum.

You’ll also need to consider how many guests you need to cater for. The fewer guests you have, the more money you could theoretically spend per drink. If you throw an intimate wedding with us, your guest list will be much smaller, meaning you’ll have more of a budget to play with!

Consider the look

It’s also worth paying some attention to how you want the drink to look and be styled. Opt for a mason jar for country chic or a retro-style punch bowl for a fun summer punch.
